CANYON GATE COMMUNITIES INCLUDE MANDATED BENEFITS FOR HOMEOWNERS
Although each of the three current Canyon Gate communities–Stone Gate, Canyon Gate at the Brazos and Canyon Gate at Northpointe–are unique in many ways, there are specific qualities that have been standardized into a Canyon Gate master plan.
Gated & Monitored Entries
The hallmark feature of a Canyon Gate community is its 24-hour gated and monitored neighborhoods offering homes from the low $100’s to the $300’s. This gated-but-affordable concept is the first of its kind to become available community-wide in the Houston area.
Recreation & Playscapes
Canyon Gate communities were designed for active families with a variety of interests. Visitors to any of the 3 current Canyon Gate communities should stop by the community’s center of activity–a $1.5 million recreation complex that has become the Canyon Gate signature amenity. In Canyon Lakes at Stone Gate, a 5-acre spray-play pool complex known as SplashPad Texas™ made its debut this summer.
Land Tejas Companies, the developer of Canyon Gate Communities, has added many resident benefits through mandatory deed restrictions included in each land transaction.
Home Technology Builders are required to install advanced in-home wiring in order to best utilize the Home Director® networking distribution center that is a standard in each home. With this pre-wiring, residents can easily install monitoring cameras, control lighting from one location, or share computers, printers and entertainment equipment throughout the home. Additionally, homeowners receive their first year of security monitoring at no charge.
Tree-lined Streets Builders in Canyon Gate Communities are mandated to plant a live oak tree between the sidewalk and curb, in addition to the two trees required on each side of the front yard. This provision earned Land Tejas Companies the 2003 Arbor Day Award for its contribution to the environment.
Adopt-a-School Each Canyon Gate community has its own Adopt-a-School program, goverened by the community’s Board of Directors. Adopt-a-School is a cooperative effort that was established to lend a helping hand to schools and organizations that serve the children in each Canyon Gate Community. As each homesite is sold, matching donations from the developer, builder and homebuyer are placed into a HOA-Board-controlled trust fund to benefit local schools.
Today Land Tejas Companies has developed four Canyon Gate communities, each characterized by it prime location. “The Canyon Gate concept is all about value,” said Land Tejas co-owner Al Brende. “It is a well-tuned formula that combines neighborhood recreation, prime locations and state-of-the-art technology that gives the home buyer opportunities they never imagined. And far from being cookie-cutter neighborhoods, each community has its own distinct personality.”
Current Land Tejas projects include Stone Gate, an 1,800-acre golf-course community located at U.S. 290 and Barker Cypress; the 400-acre Canyon Gate at Northpointe on State Hwy 249; and Canyon Gate at the Brazos, a 600-acre community at Crabb River Road (the Grand Parkway) and U.S. 59.
Canyon Gate developments are equal opportunity housing communities.
