CANYON GATE COMMUNITIES


HOUSTON, TEXAS March 31, 2007—The popularity of Canyon Gate Communities is at an all-time high, with close to 2,000 new-home sales reported for the year. This was the biggest year ever since the first community was launched in 1998. Current communities are Stone Gate & Canyon Lakes, Legends Ranch, Park Lakes and Westheimer Lakes.

Three new Canyon Gate communities are under development–the 1,170-acre Sterling Lakes, scheduled to debut this spring; the 3,500-acre Lago Mar on I-45 between Galveston and Clear Lake City, set to debut in 2007; the 1,150-acre Canyon Lakes at Spring Trails, also set to debut in 2007.

Canyon Gate communities share the concept of gated and monitored high-tech neighborhoods with reasonably-priced homes from the low $100s to the $400’s. Some communities offer non-gated villages as well, but all share the concept of strategic family-style recreation and accessible locations near top-performing schools, major thoroughfares and centers of commerce.

SplashPad Texas
SplashPad Texas, a water park and playground complex that has both a splash pad and a spray-play swimming pool. With more than 6,000-square-feet of playing surface, the park includes spray hoops, water tunnels, geysers and falling buckets.

At the entrance is a poolside cabana, making SplashPad an ideal choice for family gatherings and social events. Inside are men’s and women’s changing rooms and a full-service kitchen with a pass-thru service window. A covered breezeway adjoins the cabana, providing a comfortable retreat for non-swimming residents.

SplashPad Texas is an exclusive water park for residents’ use only. Entry to the facility will be controlled by hand geometry recognition technology, one of the latest innovations in bio-metric security systems. An on-site HOA representative will help with sign-ups. A residents’ cabana makes SplashPad an ideal choice for family gatherings and social events.

Technology
Technology leads the way for Canyon Gate residents. Builders are required to install advanced in-home wiring in order to best utilize the networking distribution center that is a standard in each home. With this pre-wiring, residents can easily install monitoring cameras, control lighting from one location, or share computers, printers and entertainment equipment throughout the home.

Recreation Center & Clubhouse
Canyon Gate communities are planned to include a full-service Recreation Center & Clubhouse complex, complete with a Jr. Olympic swimming pool and children’s wading. The luxury clubhouse design has a spacious gathering room with wood-burning fireplace and comfortable furniture for watching the wide-screen television with DVD player. A fully equipped kitchen has an outdoor service window that opens to the pool area.
