CANYON GATE COMMUNITIES LAUNCH FREE GOLF & LUNCH PROMOTION
HOUSTON, NOVEMBER 5, 2005–November is “Free Golf” month in Canyon Gate Communities. Visitors will receive 2 free rounds of golf at Stone Gate’s Houston National Golf Club and a $25 dining voucher for the Stone Gate Grille, just for touring select model homes between November 5 & 30, 2005.
Promotion guidelines specify only one pair of golf and movie passes per person, per community, and allows visitors to increase their rewards by touring more than one Canyon Gate community.
The promotion is designed to highlight the shared benefits of living in a Canyon Gate Community, specifically Stone Gate & Canyon Lakes, Legends Ranch, Park Lakes and Westheimer Lakes. Residents of any of these communities receive discounted green fees and priority tee times when playing at Houston National.
One of the latest developments to make news at Houston National Golf Club is that 102 golf carts have been fitted with a GPS-based course management system. This new technology was just approved for golf-course use by the United States Golf Association (USGA). Michael Garfield, The High-Tech Texan, helped unveil the new technology at the recent Muscular Dystrophy Golf Tournament he hosted in Stone Gate.
“Each golf cart is connected to a centrally located computer,” said Garfield, “which shows 17 different diagnostics on golf carts at all times. It will keep golfers safer with alerts to car path hazards, speed control and preventing carts from entering unsafe areas. The system includes a two-way emergency messaging capability that allows a player to activate the Emergency Help button for immediate assistance.” The interactive GPS caddies also feature full-color graphics of each hole.”
To become eligible for the Free Golf & Lunch promotion, just stop by any of the builder model homes in Stone Gate, Legends Ranch, Park Lakes or Westheimer Lakes. The promotion is limited to the first 300 visitors per community through November 30, 2005. Free passes will be mailed to visitors after they complete their tour.
